About The Release

“a father becoming" is more than an EP — this project is a manifestation of my ongoing spiritual journey. the title is borrowed from a poem penned by my wife, leeza joneé. this project has helped me transmute grief, embracing the gift of fatherhood, and integrating self-love. this sonic exploration is produced by rodney hazard, centering a full-length affirmation track for the papas, plus instrumental and vocal-only versions. each purchase of the EP also includes re-releases of my debut tracks "grand rising" and "new moon prayer". as an independent entrepreneur, creative, and provider, your support means more than words can even express.
