About The Release

this album was called DISARRAY at first because of all the chaos and cognitive dissonance i was seeing in the world, in the news, and in our hearts. as i started writing and re-writing these songs, another theme rose to the top. the fact that we are not static. people are dynamic. we change. we’re not the people we were before, and we’re not yet who we’ll become. sometimes we change into better versions of ourselves, and sometimes into monsters that we don’t recognize. whether we’re intentional about the change or not decides who we will become. thus, ‘the people we became’ is about a panic attack. it’s about grief disguising itself as anger. it’s about keeping your heart when offered the world. it’s about surrendering to a higher purpose. it’s about the vanity of everything and the weight of God’s presence. it’s about searching for Love and finding out that Love loves you. it’s about making a leap of faith and landing in God’s hand . it’s about all the people that we became.
